Minis have been manufactured by the English company British Motor Corporation since 1959, and its successors still continue to manufacture them today. It is considered one of the most important pieces of British popular culture of the 1960s.
In its construction, the car used a space-saving transverse engine and front-wheel-drive layout, allowing the passenger compartment to occupy almost 80% of the floorplan. This concept influenced a whole generation of carmakers.

The Mini, now commonly referred to as simply MINI, is a car brand from the United Kingdom, owned by BMW since 2000, and used for several small models. A performance option with all MINI models, the Cooper S offers a powerful 2.0-litre (192bhp), twin-turbo engine that achieves top speeds of up to 146mph.
The MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid has an electric range of up to 26 miles and is comparable in performance to the Cooper S petrol model, but it has a lower top speed of 123 miles.
